Since 2001 when AVIC International Xiamen Company Limited ventured into the shipbuilding international trading business, she has achieved great heights through years of development. Anchored on the superior credit standing and resources of AVIC International, and under the professional expertise of the shipbuilding division, the shipbuilding international trading business has evolved into the company’s core business, and elevating AVIC International Xiamen Company Limited into an excellent commercial trading business platform.

As of July 2011, a total of 42 vessels has been delivered to shipowners, including international state-of-art 86M AHTSV, first design of its type in the world 300,000 Bbls FPSO, two 1800TEU Container Vessels, one 2500TEU Container Vessel and one circular design Drilling Unit . There are also 12 vessels under construction, with a total value of USD 100 million.

Simultaneously, the market share and ranking of the company’s shipbuilding business in China has intensified over the years. In 2004, the company’s shipbuilding operations contributed 2% of vessel export market in China, achieving a ranking of No.14 for all enterprises and No.4 in all shipbuilding trading houses, whilst during the 1st quarter of 2006, this advanced to 3.5% of vessel export market share in China, thereby improving the ranking to No.6 and No.2 respectively.

Our excellent achievement arise from being either the pioneer or emulating existing aspects in China shipbuilding: the biggest single Project Guarantee Amount, the first Double-Guarantee for shipbuilding, the pioneer of Project Completed Bond in shipbuilding, the leading model in shipbuilding project without refund guarantee and payment guarantee.
